The proposed Eden Wind Farm is a small wind farm project located on the south coast, approximately 5 kilometres south east of the township of Eden.
The site has been selected for its proximity to the coast and hence windy climate as well as its cleared land which is currently used for industrial purposes. By co-locating the wind farm at the existing wood chip mill site, Epuron is able to use the existing powerline and substation infrastructure and at the same time minimise environmental impacts from new access tracks or powerlines for the wind turbines.
The Eden Wind Farm project would involve the construction, operation and maintenance of up to seven wind turbines, together with the ancillary structures, access tracks and electrical infrastructure required to connect the project into the existing electricity network on site.
